Having been out on the road with Slaves this autumn and already performed on the Steve Lamaq's 6 Music show without having a single out, new South London youngsters Shame have unveiled their straight talking debut 'Gold Hole'. Floating out of the same scene of fellow buzz bands Fish and HMLTD, there seems to be an air of excitement about these young acts right now and we think it's down to their uncompromising backlash against mainstream music and grit to go against the grain. This debut smacks of defiance with a snarling delivery and angry breaks. The eighteen and nineteen year olds are pushing back and that's the way it should be. Finally some counterculture! - SJ
